Who Cut the Cake...

Don’t get me wrong…I love cake just as much as the next girl! But have you considered ditching cake for your reception and choosing a different dessert? Ditch tradition and go with something that you and your sweetie will fully enjoy at your reception. Here are a few of my favorite ideas:

1. I donut want to do life without you

A donut display is not only mouth watering, but can also be such a cute way to incorporate your colors with frostings, or your wedding season with flavor! Donut boards are trending and I am HERE for it! 

2. I scream I DO for ice cream

Here comes the ice cream truck! Everyone loves a good ice cream bar - whether you’re young or old, ice cream hits just right at the end of the night. Whether you park an ice cream truck outside, or pick some of your favorite flavors and toppings for a self-serve bar, your guests will love it.

3. Our love is POPPIN

Individual bags of popcorn is the perfect way to send your guests home with a party favor as well as incorporating that as your dessert. Consider adding a personalized sticker to the popcorn bags with a thank you from the newly married couple or having multiple flavor options for guests to choose from.

4. “Chillin’ by the fire while we’re eatin fondue”

Fruit, marshmallows, candy…I’ve never met a food that isn’t delicious dipped in chocolate! A fondue fountain is not only beautiful, but the tastiest treat! Get creative with items your guests can pair with chocolate, but don’t forget napkins! ;) 

5. Let’s party s'more

Chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers, that’s cheap entertainment! Adding a  smores bar to your wedding will not only occupy your guests by a romantic fire, but is also a delicious treat, great for all ages!
